Personal Projects

Exploring our world, feeding my curiosity, with my camera in hand brings me a lot of joy and fulfilment. Each year I embark on one or more self-initiated projects on a topic, subject matter that fascinates me.

Simply Being — Colour

Early 2015, my husband Terence, Adie (beloved dog), and myself moved our lives away from Wellington city to live as the sole permanent residents on a remote and wild, boat-access-only, off-the-grid peninsula on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island.

This 15-month project documents the silence, the nature and the spaciousness we experienced during this very special time. View Project >

UPPER CASE, lower case

A photographic exploration into an industry-turned-craft.

This year-long project combines two of my passions, typography and photography. It is a visual documentation of New Zealand’s Printing Museum in action. Thank you to the team of volunteers at the museum for welcoming me, my camera and my many questions into the museum. View Project >

Chant and Be Happy

What does it mean to be a Hare Krishna? This year-long photographic documentary aimed to explore the practice of Krishna Consciousness in Wellington, New Zealand. It sought to better understand the individual and collective practices of the Krishna devotees. View Project >
